Software Technical Requirements and Recommendations

Operating Systems

The following operating systems are reported to work with Ignitia:
Apple/Mac
Chromebook
Windows
Note that older versions of these operating systems may not work.

Internet Browsers and Settings

The following Internet browsers work best with Ignitia:
- Chrome
- Firefox
Browser settings:
- Passwords: Disable features that automatically save passwords.
- AutoComplete: Disable, as this often looks like a list of answers from which to choose.
- Caching: Enable, but set browsers to clear the cache when closed.

Additional Recommendations

Students need a reliable Internet connection; satellite internet is not recommended.
*.glynlyon.com and *.sooschools.com must be added to the whitelist of any filtering, proxy, or firewall programs/servers in use.
