Iowa Complete Overview

  • The Iowa Complete is a set of standardized achievement tests used for assessing children’s skills in English, math, history, and science.
  • The Iowa Complete is taken by students for two days. Students should plan to test for both days.
  • A parent or trusted adult is required to be present during testing.
  • Please note that accommodations are not available to students taking the Iowa Complete. Before signing up for the Iowa Complete, see all standardized testing options.

2026-2027 Iowa Complete Testing Window

  • 2026-2027 School Year
    • Wednesday, May 5 and Thursday, May 6, 2027
  • No make-up days will be available.
  • For students in the Online and Enlightium Prep Online Programs, no assignments will be assigned on the two testing days. 
  • Students in the Online Program will still have access to Ignitia or Canvas and can use these days to catch up or work ahead.
  • Students in the Book-Based Program will have access to Canvas and can use these days to catch up or work ahead.

Registration

  • Parents will receive a Registration/Opt-Out Form for each student in grades PreK-8 via email. The form will also be available in the Customer Portal.
  • The registration form will be provided during March and must be submitted by March 31, at 11:59 pm Pacific time. No late registrations will be accepted due to licensing requirements.
  • Registration closed on March 31. No late registrations can be accepted due to licensing requirements.

Technical Requirements

  • A computer
    • A PC, Mac, or Chromebook
    • The Chrome, Safari, or Edge browser installed
  • A webcam
  • A microphone; during testing, the audio should be enabled, but the student can be muted. This will allow the student and their teacher to be able to talk.
