Enlightium Academy Support

New Hampshire’s Educational Freedom Accounts

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Overview

  • New Hampshire’s Education Freedom Accounts (EFAs) provide eligible students with grants from the state to use toward eligible educational expenses.
    • Exact award amounts are based on multiple factors, including application timing, household income, and any qualifying disabilities the student may have.
    • Current EFA recipients and their siblings, students with special needs, and families with income at or below 350% of the federal poverty level are prioritized.
  • Parents and students must reside in New Hampshire, and students must be entering grades K-12 and be between five and 20 years old to be eligible.
  • Most recipients will receive at least $4,000 each year.
  • The funds can be used to either cover tuition completely or offset the cost of tuition, depending on the award amount and whether additional teacher support is purchased. Additionally, funds may be able to roll over to the next school year, allowing a family to choose different support levels each year (such as the Priority Support upgrade one year and the Expanded Support upgrade the next).
  • Applications are accepted year-round; however, to receive the full-year award, the application process must be completed by July 15th.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Enlightium Academy qualify for New Hampshire EFA funds?
Yes. If students qualify for an EFA, those funds can be used to pay their tuition and fees at Enlightium Academy.

How can I get invoices to submit for payment or to provide to the EFA system?
Invoices or statements can be requested by emailing billing@enlightiumacademy.com. Quarterly and annual statements sent by Enlightium will be provided upon request free of charge and will fulfill the requirements for the state of New Hampshire. These requests are typically processed in 1-3 business days.

How can I pay Enlightium Academy directly through my student’s EFA?
ClassWallet’s knowledge base has step-by-step instructions for paying vendors directly. You can view these instructions. If you would prefer to watch a video tutorial, it can be found here.

If I have multiple students, can EFA funds be used for different students?
EFA funds are designated for the individual student they are awarded. Even if a student has unused funds in their EFA, these cannot be transferred or used for another student's expenses, including siblings or students living in the same household. This rule, from the state of New Hampshire, ensures that funds are utilized strictly for the educational needs of the intended recipient, preserving the integrity and purpose of the EFA program.

How do I know if my payment from ClassWallet has been received?
Upon receiving payments from ClassWallet, Enlightium Academy’s billing team will email the primary parent of the household. A statement showing the original balance, the amount paid, and the balance or credit on each student’s account will be included. Please allow 5-10 business days for processing these payments.

Are there any fees for using EFA funds?
There is a $150 payment processing fee for payments made utilizing the EFA program. This fee is only charged once per student per year.

Am I still eligible for discounts if I use EFA?
Yes. Any discounts will be applied to EFA students in the same manner in which they are applied to non-EFA students.

Will my tuition be scheduled differently if I use an EFA?
Yes. Due to additional processing requirements, tuition plans paying directly from the voucher system will be scheduled in a maximum of four installments throughout the school year.
